Small Groups

Small Group Ministry
Contact: The Rev. Barbara Schlachter

There are several small groups meeting at Christ Church. They cover various topics such as Bible Study, Journal Writing, Chancel Drama, Stitching, Women’s Wellness, Women Over 60, and Book study. There is always the opportunity for more groups to form. These groups welcome people at any time. It is a chance to get to know a small group of people, to learn, to share thoughts about the Scripture reading and to have fun.

CHRIST CHURCH STITCHING GROUP

The Stitching Group is comprised of knitters, quilters, embroiderers and cross stitch artists who appreciate the opportunity to spend one evening a month "just for themselves" but together with friends.  We frequently share patterns and ideas as well as our joys and concerns.  We repair altar linens and vestments for the church and our members make quilted or knitted items for outreach and charity as well as completing work on their own projects.

The Stitchers meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Christ Church  library.  We would love to have you join us!  The group has no officers, agenda, mission statement or minutes to be written.  Your commitment would be only to support each other as you enjoy a little time away from your all too busy schedule.

Stitching Group members in 2008 include: Darlene A, Teresa B, Karen J, Ann R, Katherine T, Bonnie T, Kate V, Liz V, Trish V, Vikki W & Mary W.

Interested in becoming a Stitching Group member?  Questions? Please contact our convenor Liz through the Christ Church office (click here), ask any of our members about the Stitching Group, or just drop into our group any second Monday of the month.
