SPEAKS ON
"UNDERSTANDING CLIMATE CHANGE" AT CHRIST EPISCOPAL SUNDAY
CEDAR RAPIDS - Jerry Schnoor, professor of civil and environmental
engineering and co-director of the Center for Global and Regional
Environmental Research at the University of Iowa, will present
"Understanding Climate Change" at Christ Episcopal Church, 220 40th St. NE,
in Cedar Eapids, on Sunday, September 16, from 9:15 10:15 a.m. The
presentation is part of an adult education series on environmental
stewardship.
"Jerry Schnoor is Iowa's leading expert on global warming and climate
change," said Rob Hogg, a member of the Christ Episcopal environmental
stewardship committee. "It is important for people of faith to understand
this issue so we can live in accordance with our faith."
Schnoor is the Allen S. Henry Chair in Engineering at the University of
Iowa, editor-in-chief of the Environmental Science and Technology Journal,
and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
