A House of Prayer

  prayer

The members of the Healing Ministry Team are following in the traditional practice of the early First Century Christians. According to the author of the Epistle of James, it was the common practice that if anyone was sick, then the mature members of the Christian assembly would pray over them by word, by the laying on of hands and by anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.

Every Sunday during the Communion service several members of the Healing Ministry Team station themselves in the narthex, in order to minister to anyone who is sick and is seeking prayers for healing. On a quarterly basis, the full Healing Ministry Team assembles during the Communion service at several stations along the altar rail and in the narthex to provide the healing ministry to all that come forward to receive it.
