Read the story and its meaning for us today

On Saturday

Look how carefully our "translator and gatekeeper for the Bishop of Mexico" applies
golden stars to the veil for Our Lady Mary of Guadalupe!

Willie played Uncle Bernardino perfectly; Austin gave a stellar performance as
Saint Juan Diego; and mom Kathy was radiant as Our Lady Mary of Guadalupe!

Roses of all colours were placed on the altar, ready for Our Lady Mary
of Guadalupe to arrange them in Saint Juan Diego's tilma.

A photograph of the image of Our Lady Mary of Guadalupe
greeted worshipers at the Welcome Table.

Willie's smile tells the whole story, doesn't it?

What fiesta is complete without a pinata? Barbara brought this unicorn along!

This Mexican flag with the image from Saint Juan Diego's tilma hung from the mantle.

In this quilt, each square tells a story. The squares were created by women from Mexico.

Saturday night's feast table featured corn pudding,
enchilladas, salsa con queso, refried beans,
well, all of your web master's favourites!

Our cake for Saturday's fiesta. Barbara cut the cake perfectly, by the way.
Everyone who wanted a piece, got one. We sent only one piece home.

Fellowship, fun, laughter filled the room.

Our fiesta table on Sunday featured Barbara's special fiesta tablecloth, a sombrero, our pinata,
a photograph of Our Lady Mary of Guadalupe and in the background you can see
the CD player featuring Mexican music!

This is the cake we shared on Sunday. See the roses scattered around the table?

Here's Wilmer, Marian and Martha enjoying the fiesta!

The children lined up when they saw Gerry getting ready
to cut the cake. And look at the fellowship they enjoy!
