Bill is our Rector.
(Pastor)
Fr. Bill and wife Arlena have five grown children and three
grandchildren. Bill truly believes that a pastor's job is to "equip
the saints for ministry." In other words, he sees to it that everyone
has a function in the parish!

The Rev. Dr. Barbara
Schlachter
Barbara is our Associate Rector.
Some of Barbara's interests and specialties
include counseling, spirituality and small group studies. She commutes
from Iowa City. Her husband, The Rev. Dr. Mel Schlachter, is Rector of
Trinity Episcopal Church in Iowa City. Barbara
is at Christ Church on Mondays, Wednesdays and for weekend services.

The Rev. Mark Eccles
Mark is our Deacon.
He works full-time in the "real world," while devoting countless hours to
service at Christ Church, as well as chaplaincy programs at both St.
Luke's Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. |
Linda Antisavage
Linda is our Office Manager.
Her energy is without limits, keeping everyone in the office -- even
Albert (see below) -- motivated and ready to serve. One of Linda's greatest talents is
in planning and organizing events. |

Susan Hansen
Susan is our Administrative Assistant.
She is one of the kindest, gentlest hearts you'll ever meet. Susan helps
coordinate our prayer chain, and she is part of the teams of people who
help with healing prayers on Sundays. |
Kevin Benford
Director of Music
Kevin has an extensive background in vocal music in the Episcopal Church.
His expertise with choral directing is demonstrated in the excellence
of our Chancel Choir offertories. And any choir member will tell you he
knows how to make rehearsals fun and interesting! |

Betty Debban
Organist
Betty's talent and experience in church music is unsurpassed. She presents
concerts throughout the year at various locations in the Cedar Rapids
area. Christ Church is truly blessed she is on the team. |

Coordinator in addition to her fine work with children's choirs.

Bill described him as

Church Greeter
and All-Around Good Friend.
Albert liked jelly beans, cookies, doggy snacks and getting the mail.
It is with great sadness we report Albert's
passing September 27, 2006. We pray for strength and comfort for his family. |
