Altar Guild: The Hands that Serve

Altar Guild members are responsible for the weekly preparation of the altar for Sunday services, weddings, funerals, and special services during the week. Members work in teams one week each month.

Altar Guild: TNG (The Next Generation)

We are growing the next generation of sacristans at Christ Church, with children serving the Altar Guild alongside the adults.

Sometimes it's because Mom or Grandma brings them to church early on a Saturday morning, to wait as preparations are made for the coming worship. Sometimes it's because they've been asked to help clear the Good Shepherd's Table. Sometimes it's because of the work they have done with sacred materials in Godly Play. Whatever the reason, children are fascinated with Altar Guild work.
